Use this guide to learn the ins and outs of shop photography management and ensure that the people who view your shop know what you’re about by the fabulous photos you have to share.
What images do I need to make my Jedora store shine?
As the shop manager, you will have three sections of images to customize, all of which will enable you to showcase your brand and all you have to offer your customers.
The first will be your store logo, the first image customers associate with your products. The other two sections, the About Us carousel and the Media Gallery, will add pizzazz and color to your store’s page.
Here are the details you’ll need to keep in mind when designing your shop logo and shooting photography for your store’s page.
Store Logo
Put your best foot forward with a store logo that will gain the confidence of your customers.
Below are the criteria for the store logo image:
- Images can be in any of the following formats: jpg, jpeg, png, gif and heif.
- Max file size: 10mb
- Minimum height/width: 1,000px
- Maximum height/width: 10,000px
- Aspect ratio of 1:1 (square) preferred
About Us Image Carousel
The About Us image carousel is a great way to showcase a wide variety of photos and short videos, from products to model shots to bite-size information about your business.
Follow these guidelines for images to be featured in the About Us carousel:
- Images can be in any of the following formats: jpg, jpeg, png, gif and heif.
- Max file size: 10mb
- Minimum height/width: 1,000px
- Maximum height/width: 10,000px
- Aspect ratio of 1:1 (square) preferred
Follow these guidelines for videos to be featured in the About Us carousel:
- Images can be in any of the following formats: mov, mp4, mpeg-2
- Max file size: 500mb
- Minimum height/width: 1,000px
- Maximum height/width: 10,000px
- Aspect ratio of 1:1 (square) preferred
To upload an About Us media item, make sure it matches the above criteria.
We recommend a minimum of four images and videos in your About Us carousel. Only eight images and videos can be uploaded, so make sure you choose the best and brightest photos to represent your business. An optional caption can be provided for each uploaded media item.
Featured Image Gallery
The featured image gallery can display up to 50 images and videos, so there are countless ways to use this gallery well and make your online business shine. Upload an exhibit of brand new items you’re adding to your shop or announce a special sale. Be as creative as you want, but always follow our imaging guidelines and store policies.
Follow these guidelines for images in the Featured Media Gallery:
- Images can be in any of the following formats: jpg, jpeg, png, gif and heif.
- Max file size: 10mb
- Minimum height/width: 1,000px
- Maximum height/width: 10,000px
- Aspect ratio of 1:1 (square) preferred

- Images can be in any of the following formats: mov, mp4, mpeg-2

We recommend a minimum of four images and videos in the Featured Media Gallery.
The first three images will be displayed on your store card as a banner for your shop. The first four will form the banner at the top of your store’s main page. The remaining images can be accessed through your About Us page, beneath your store description.
An optional caption or link can be provided for each uploaded media item.
How do I optimize my photos for all media?
Jedora’s images are intended to have a standard aspect ratio of 1:1 (also known as a square aspect ratio). No matter where your photos fall on your store’s page, this consistency helps your store to have a polished, professional look without the hassle of juggling several aspect ratios.
