Making Changes to Your Shipping Settings

When you’ve decided that your store will handle the fulfillment of shipments, managing and knowing the functionality of your shipment settings is a must. This help guide has been created to help you make the necessary changes to your shipment settings in Jedora Partner Central, so that you can fulfill customer orders without unnecessary hassle.

As a prerequisite for fulfilling shipments, you will first need to set up your customer shipping and returns address accurately. After walking through this process, the guide will cover what you can do to make the seller fulfillment process easier by creating package presets from your orders and by altering your shipment preferences.

Let’s get started!

Edit Customer Shipping and Returns Address

When you login, you may see a notification at the top of your dashboard notifying you that a customer shipping address is required. By selecting the ruby colored link that reads View Shipping Setting Preferences, you will be taken to the page that allows you to alter your settings.

For the shipment process, you’ll need to update the Customer Shipping Address and the Customer Returns Address.

To set either of these, click the plus button to edit the address field. If it’s an address you have used for another field, you can select the address from the list to quickly apply it to the field. If you would like to enter a new address, you have the option to enter in the new details as well.

Remember to fill out all fields, including your nine-digit postal code, then select save.

Do the same for any other address fields that are empty and be sure to update your address fields as the information changes. These addresses are  essential for managing seller fulfillment professionally.

Create, Edit, and Delete Package Presets

Creating package presets is a great way to streamline the seller fulfillment process. See it in action with our article on Fulfilling a Shipment Batch and save yourself the time of measuring each and every package you send out.

Creating Package Presets

1) Select Customer Orders, then Shipping Settings from the left hand navigation.

2) Select the pencil icon on the right hand side of the screen, then select Create Preset.

3) Add a preset name that you will recognize later in the process.

4) Choose a packaging product type and specify the length, width, and height.

Length must be listed as the longest measurement, so in the case of an 8.5x12 package, the length will be listed as 12 inches and the width as 8.5 inches.

5) Include the weight only if weight is consistent across all shipments using this package preset.

If this package preset will be used for a variety of items of varying weights, leave this field blank so that the correct weight can be added when fulfilling shipments.

6) Select Save in the bottom right corner to make this one of your package presets.

Create as many presets as you need to maintain fulfillment easily. Again, taking this step now will make the shipping fulfillment process proceed much more quickly than entering in the package measurements manually every time.

Editing or Deleting Package Presets

Before editing or deleting a preset, select the pencil icon in the top right corner.

To edit a package preset, select the title of the preset that needs to be altered. Then, you will be directed to the same page where you initially created the package preset and can alter the information as needed.

To delete a package preset, select the trash can icon on the row corresponding to the preset to be deleted.

Altering Your Shipping Preferences

Setting your shipping preferences is another great way to make the fulfillment process even faster by allowing you to define the standard units of measure, as well as the orientation, size and layout of printed packaging slips.

From these settings, you can also edit your Customer Shipping Address and Customer Returns Address, should this information change at any time. Remember, all addresses in these fields should include the full nine-digit postal code.

In Conclusion…

With the settings optimized, the correct addresses applied and the package presets loaded in, you are ready to begin fulfilling shipments.
